 December 7, 2005
Dear Brothers: In less than sixty days, January Rush begins
for the "Founding Fathers" of the Recolonized Psi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi.
Behind the scenes, a tremendous amount of work and effort has been done to get us to this
point in our efforts to bring Psi Chapter back to its prominence on campus. I would like
to share with you all, what we have accomplished and what help is still needed in the
coming months. The Recruitment through Scholarship letters
have been sent to the homes of 240 unaffiliated men on November 18th. Those that are
interested in the Scholarship must have their applications returned to the General
Fraternity by December 18th. A "Legend"
book, produced by the College is in the process of being mailed to the homes of all
the Freshmen. This booklet introduces and explains all the Greek houses on campus. The
purpose of the booklet is to increase awareness of the Greek system on campus and to
educate their parents. I personally would like to thank J.U. Davis and Douglas Miller for
their time and effort in putting this piece together. Rush begins on
January 17, 2006 and ends with Bid Day on January 27, 2006. During this period, three
members of the General Fraternity will be living on campus for the sole purpose of
recruiting quality men. These are the important days for the Alumni to participate in the
recruitment process. Thursday, January 19, 2006, 6 pm- 8 pmBethany Academic Parlor
Informal presentation to all unaffiliated men
 This presentation includes a power-point
presentation that for those of you who were at homecoming viewed. The presentation is
extremely moving and impressive. Having a group of Alumns at this presentation would
greatly be appreciated. Thursday, January 26, 2006, 6 pm-8pmFormal recruitment dinner at the House
We are planning on singing the "Loving
Cup" after the program and dinner. I would love to see as many local Alumns be
present for this. This is the last night before Bid Day and a stirring rendition of the
"Loving Cup" would be the icing on the cake . If anyone is interested in making these days,
please sign-up on-line here. "GO BETA" _kai_David Cottington
