Brothers,
Since we are half way through the educational program for the Founding
Fathers class of Psi Chapter, I thought I would give an update on their progress.
We pledged 13 outstanding men. 5 seniors, 2
juniors, 1 sophomore and 6 freshmen. The combined fall GPA was 3.30!!! I do believe FHK
and DK are smiling
down on the house. They have elected their officers and are currently holding chapter
meetings. Yes, the chapter meetings are formal, ties required, and they have developed
their own form of "Minutes" where each Brother contributes.
Last Tuesday, February 21st, they serenaded the Phi Mu's and handed out roses to their members.
This was the chapters way of saying thanks for the Phi Mu's support during the last Rush
period.
On Saturday, February 25th, the chapter cleaned up a stretch of route 88 towards
Wellsburg as part of their ongoing community service. John Cunningham happened to be
traveling towards Wellsburg, stopped and was both surprised and happy to see the
effort our colony was making. They collected over 25, thirty gallon trash bags, 7 tires
and an old stereo. The colony will continue this project on a monthly basis. Look
for some photos of the event on the web site soon.
Future goals include winning the Woolery Cup, winning Intramurals and continued
recruitment of new pledges. Brothers, these men will soon be initiated at Oxford,
April 2nd 2006 at 2 pm in the Hall of the Chapters. A proud moment in the
history of Psi Chapter.
