Beta Theta Pi

FRATERNITY

February 12, 2003

Dear Alumnus,

It is with deep regret that I inform you, the Psi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi at Bethany College has been disbanded and closed. These actions are being taken as a result of violations of the risk management policy, overdue financial obligations to the Administrative Office, per the code of Beta Theta Pi and failure to comply with Housing Corporation rules and regulations.

The chapter charter, ritual books and other Beta property are to be placed in the charge of the Alumni Association. Further, the chapter accounts, checkbook and financial records are to be turned over to Alumni Association President, Deno P. Emili. All undergraduate members will be moved to alumni status and will, upon graduation, experience all of the benefits granted to Beta Theta Pi alumni.

The Fraternity desires to maintain high quality chapters that are willing to maintain a close relationship with the school and, at the same time, partner with the General Fraternity in returning to the principles and obligations of Beta Theta Pi. I look forward to Psi chapter’s strong return to the Bethany College campus.

We regret that this action is necessary.

Yours in ____kai____,

David W. Wright, Ohio State ‘67
General Secretary
