Recolonization Executive Summary

From the General Fraternity:

«   An efficient and thorough campus preparation process will occur six months prior to the re-colonization efforts taking place and will ensure logistical components of a successful return are secured

«   A committed and professional three-man expansion team that will execute a successful re-colonization project in a 22-day period during the 2005-2006 academic year.

«   Long- term support from Education Consultants and a colony educator that will stay on site to facilitate the 7-week colony education program.  

«   Re-colonization classes average range from 24 to 55 men in size with the average class being 30 men.

«   Beta Theta Pi offers a minimum of two Advisor Training Conferences (ATC’s) each year, one in Oxford and one during our General Convention, as well as requested regional training sessions in areas that justify the need for an ATC.

 From the Psi Alumni:

«   A completed Alumni Partnership Agreement (see the Recolonization Manual)

«   A decision regarding the ideal re-colonization semester for the 2005-2006 academic year by March 1, 2005. 

«   A Psi Chapter fund balance of $10,000.00 and a commitment to annually fund a full delegation of participants to experiential leadership opportunities (i.e. the Institute for Men of Principle, Beta Wilderness Challenge, UIFI)

«   Housing and Internet capabilities to support the three-man expansion team for 22 days of recruitment as well as the colony educator during the seven-week colony education period.

«   The Psi alumni will provide $1,000.00 toward Recruitment Through Scholarship awards that will be utilized in the re-colonization process.

«   A minimum of 5 trained advisors are placed in the following positions

o        Chapter Counselor – The quarterback of our team

o        Financial Advisor

o        Pledge Education Advisor

o        Recruitment Advisor

o        Risk Management Advisor

«   An advisory team that is comprised of members that are not members of the housing corporation.

«   An alumni brotherhood that completely supports the Mission, Vision and Goals of the Men of Principle Initiative and is committed to an undergraduate experience that promotes living the Principles and Obligations of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.
